Using the Calculators

What's the difference between the ROAS and the ROI calculators?

ROAS (Return On Ad Spend) measures gross *revenue* against *ad spend*, showing campaign efficiency. ROI (Return On Investment) is a strategic business metric that measures net *profit* against the *total investment*. Our ROI & LTV Calculator provides a much deeper view of true profitability. We explain this in detail in our ROAS vs. ROI Guide.

What is a "good" ROAS (Return On Ad Spend)?

While there is no universal benchmark, a common target is a 400% ROAS (a 4:1 ratio). However, a "good" ROAS depends entirely on your profit margins. A low-margin business might need a 1000% ROAS to be profitable, while a high-margin business might thrive on a 300% ROAS.

How can I use the "Compare Scenarios" feature effectively?

Use it to model the impact of changes. For example, in Scenario A, enter your current CPC. In Scenario B, enter a lower CPC you hope to achieve. The calculator will instantly show you how this single change impacts your entire funnel, from clicks to net profit. It's perfect for setting goals and understanding which metrics have the biggest leverage.

I don't know my CPM or CPC. How can I use the Revenue Calculator?

If you're just starting out, you can use industry benchmarks. For a US-based audience, a starting CPM might be $2-$5, and a starting CPC could be $0.50-$2.00, depending on your niche. Our Revenue Calculator is perfect for running different scenarios to see how these changes affect your potential income.
